Perfect Blue wasn’t planned to be anything. It was the song people kept asking for at afters, so I eventually took it into the studio. We tracked it in one session and didn’t mess with it — no polishing, no rewrites. It felt honest straight away, so we left it alone. What you hear is basically how it’s always been played.
